So MSDNAA lets university students get some Microsoft products for free for educational purposes. That’s all fine and dandy except that you can’t directly download stuff, you have to do it using a shitty download manager.
It is hilarious that you have to run a Windows executable to download a copy of Windows XP.
Chicken and egg?… Yeah, that’s clever.

I only use MSDNAA to get legal windows’ serials.

Had the same problem and got my copy by running the program under wine. It needed multiple attempts but finally I got it.

yeah .. but that downloader gets them from somewhere .. a simple tcpdump would show you the download site of the .sdc :) ( mine is software.msdnaa.net … )
